PUFFY EYES

Too much salt or alcohol, allergies, or just not getting enough sleep can cause your eyes to look tired and puffy.  Here are a few ways to combat puffy eyes and look more rested.

1.  The obvious one here is to reduce your intake of salt and/or alcohol.  If you have a meal with too much salt, or can't resist the cocktail hour, drink a large cup of water, black tea or green tea before you go to bed to flush out your system.

2.  Moisturize.  Smooth a moisturizer on your face that contains at least one anti-inflammatory ingredient.  When the eyes are puffy, skin is often irritated too.  Products with green tea are very effective, and can also add antioxidant properties as well.  A great product to try is the
Skin Dimensions SB Antioxidant Serum or Cream.  These products can also be put in the refrigerator for an additional soothing effect.  The Skin Dimensions SB Antioxidant Serum and Cream both contain the equivalent of over 500 cups of green tea and caffeine, which helps to reduce redness.

3.  Cover up the evidence.  Try a matte eye shadow that's slightly darker than your skin color and sweep it over the lids and right under your lower lashes. This will help to make the eyes look less puffy.  Curl upper lashes and apply two coats of black mascara.  Try the bareMinerals Lash Builder in addition to your favorite mascara. Not only will this add a little lash curling, it gives the eyelashes a conditioning base that helps the mascara last longer and appear thicker.
